Career Compass Roundtable at Vamia

What the Finland hosted its first stakeholder roundtable on the 26th of November to discuss key research insights on the employment and integration of young migrants as part of the Nordplus Career Compass project.

During the session, we presented findings from our autumn survey and interviews, highlighting the main barriers young immigrants face in Finland – most notably insufficient Finnish language skills and limited access to clear, accessible information. In addition, participants noted the impact of Finland’s current unemployment situation, which increases competition and makes it even more challenging for young migrants to enter the labour market. We also explored the vital role of mental health and well-being, discussing how organisations can better support young immigrants during difficult times.

A warm thank-you to Vaasan kaupunki – Vasa stad Integration Services and Vamia for your active participation and valuable cooperation.
