Mothers and Girls in Connection – Spring 2026
We are excited to launch Meidän Hetki – Mothers and Girls in Connection (MAGIC), a wellbeing initiative for mothers and girls aged 13–18. Supported by the Wellbeing Services County of Ostrobothnia, MAGIC aims to strengthen connections between mothers and daughters while promoting their overall wellbeing.
Monthly Activities & Special Events
Once a month, we organize shared activities that are fun, relaxed, and safe, allowing everyone to be themselves, as mothers and daughters have emphasized is important.
Spring 2026 activities include:
- February 28th: Bowling event for mothers and daughters – a fun and relaxed way to connect. Book your spots!
- March 26th: Repair Workshop at Vaasa City Library, in collaboration with Äitikapina Vaasa – learn hands-on skills, and explore sustainable creativity. More information!

Later in the year, participants will also be invited to a shared Empowerment Weekend, focusing on resilience, creativity, and positive connections.
🌿 General Info
What The Finland ry has received funding from the Wellbeing Services County of Ostrobothnia for 2026 to support the wellbeing of girls aged 13–18 and strengthen the connection between girls and their mothers.
We organize monthly open peer group sessions: for girls and mothers alone and for mothers and daughters together. These sessions foster wellbeing through shared activities, creative workshops, and reflective discussions. Simple shared activities, hands-on creative work, and spending time together can be powerful ways to boost wellbeing, connection, and resilience.
