Project Number: : 2026-1-FI01-KA220-ADU-000465370
Project Duration: 01.09.2026 – 29.02.2028
This Erasmus+ Adult Education project EMPOWER 40+ develops and tests a community-based adult learning and mentoring model to support adults aged 40–55 who are long-term or repeatedly unemployed in finding realistic pathways back to employment, reskilling or self-employment. The project strengthens employability, digital and AI competences, and self-confidence while addressing age-related stereotypes and self-ageism. The model will be piloted with 120 participants in Finland, Greece, Italy and France.
Objectives
- Strengthen employability by helping adults aged 40–55 identify realistic career pathways and opportunities for employment, reskilling or self-employment.
- Develop digital and AI competences to improve participants’ confidence and readiness to navigate an increasingly digital labour market.
- Address self-ageism and age-related barriers by strengthening self-confidence, motivation and recognition of existing skills and experience.
- Promote lifelong learning and activation through community-based learning, mentoring and peer support.
- Develop and validate a transferable model through transnational piloting and evaluation involving 120 participants across four countries.
- Ensure long-term impact and accessibility by delivering an open-access Career Re-Entry and AI-Supported Navigator Kit, facilitator guidelines and a mentoring model for adult education and employment stakeholders across Europe.
