We invite women to a warm and welcoming evening of connection, discussion and shared learning about violence against women, recognising the signs of abuse and finding help and support.
The Women & Violence event will take place on Friday, 6 November 2026, from 16:30 to 19:30 at Royal Vaasa, Hovioikeudenpuistikko 18, Vaasa.
The evening brings together lived-experience experts and professionals to explore violence against women from different perspectives. The programme includes personal experiences, information about different forms of violence and available support services, cultural differences and barriers to seeking help, as well as myths and misconceptions about violence against women.
The event aims to raise awareness and cultural understanding, reduce stigma, and improve access to support for women, especially migrant women experiencing intimate partner violence.
Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where women can connect, share experiences, ask questions and learn where to find help. Everyone deserves to be heard, respected and supported.
