The online policy dialogue event “Young Migrant Workers in the Nordic – Baltic Region” took place on 20 May 2026, bringing together stakeholders from all three project countries. The insights were shared by employment organizations, municipalities, NGOs and educational organizations representatives.
The productive discussion focused on barriers affecting young migrant workers’ transition from low-skilled jobs to sustainable career pathways across the region:
1. Language barriers;
2. Skills recognition;
3. Working conditions;
4. Access to information;
5. Career progression obstacles;
6. Psychological wellbeing and mental health issues.
Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed valuable insights, experiences, and expertise. We are now continuing the important work of finalising the Policy Report.
